Blood helps in the distribution of heat in the body by circulation process through its vessels. Examples of categories of blood vessels are aorta, veins, capillaries, venules, and arterioles. Blood vessels differ in terms of size and functionality. It has been noted for an instance the largest blood vessel to be the aorta while the smallest one to be the capillaries.
It has been known for blood to assist in the transport of nutrients in the tissues of the body. It has been known for blood to aid in the removal of the waste substances from the body. Blood plays a role in the health of the body. Blood cells make sure the body is healthy at all times. The role of the platelets found in the blood is to aid in the healing process of the injuries. The role of the white blood cells is to provide immunity to the body. The function of the red cells is to transport gasses into and out of the body. The body is vulnerable to dehydration. Expect our body to be dehydrated at summer seasons. The body usually sweats when doing activities such as exercises and business. The skin has sweat glands that excrete water and salts through evaporation when the weather is hot. Dehydration is very dangerous to the body since it can bring problems such as a headache and brain malfunctioning.
It should be our aim to stay in cool places during summer to avoid dehydration. There are a couple of strategies we can employ to make our body hydrated especially in summer. We can hydrate our body during summer by taking a lot of water. It is recommended for one to take eight glasses of water daily to offset dehydration. Our body can be hydrated by taking foods that have high water content such as fruits and vegetables. We should keep at bay drinks that can dehydrate our body such as alcohol.
